Paralympic Winter Games 2014 @ Sochi… Good luck!

The official welcome ceremonies for the participating teams at Russia's first ever Paralympics Winter Games in Sochi is going to start tomorrow.

The Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games will take place between March 7 and 16, 2014. About 575 athletes from 45 countries will participate, and they will compete for 72 sets of medals in five sports – alpine skiing, biathlon, cross country skiing, ice sledge hockey and wheelchair curling. Also for the first time ever the Paralympic movement, Sochi will stage para- snowboard. Last days, 45 national flags were raised over the village, each representing a country taking part in the Games. The welcome ceremonies will come to a close today, once the final teams arrive.
The competitions will start only in a day, and the venues are waiting for the upcoming victories and champions.
The ceremony of the lightning of the Paralympic Flame will be held tomorrow, and do not miss the beginning of the main sports event that is going to be spectacular!
